About

...yes that is me holding an enormous Chilean spider.

I’m Sarah Castor-Perry, an enthusiastic and professional science communicator with experience of working on multiple media broadcasting platforms, both in the UK and abroad. I work with audio, video, print and also enjoy presenting live science events.

A zoologist by training, I’ve worked across all areas of science for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and The Naked Scientists – where I make the Naked Science Scrapbook, and Naked Oceans. I make the Cambridge BrightClub, ThinkCon and Cambridge Skeptics in the Pub podcast, have written for BBC Focus magazine, and present live science shows in Schools and at places like the British Science Festival. You can follow me on twitter and find me on LinkedIn. Full CV available on request.

When not writing about science, doodling for my next animated podcast or interviewing a scientist on a beach (OK, that was only that one time, sadly), you’ll find me experimenting in the kitchen, mainly with baking…
